Kindness Rally to celebrate anti-bullying efforts

Rachel’s Challenge and other anti-bullying efforts are inspiring, equipping and empowering us to make positive changes in our
schools and community.
To celebrate the efforts of MCS students and staff to start a chain reaction of kindness and compassion, a special year-end event is planned: the FOR TAXII Kindness Rally, set for 5:30 p.m. May 9, 2013, at Marion High School, on the practice football field (in the gym in case of rain).
Don’t miss out on the fun!
Features 5:30 - 8 p.m. include:

- carnival games
- balloon animals
- Johnny Law
- bounce house
- fire truck tours
- human hamster ball
- dunk tank (principals and other administrators will take the plunge!)
- food (including nachos, popcorn, sno cones, cotton candy)
- free child ID cards with pictures, fingerprints; produced on-site courtesy of New York Life Insurance Company
At 6:30, the Chain Reaction Ceremony will feature:

- JROTC presenting the flag
- Performances by Marion High School and McCulloch Junior High School choirs
- Messages from district administrators
- Recognition for staff working on bullying prevention
- Presentation of kindness chains from each school, which will be linked together to represent the changes happening at our schools
