Board Policies

Adoption Date: Dec 27, 1993

The Board shall establish financial controls for the administration of the normal, legitimate, curricular-related, and extra-curricular activities of the Corporation in accordance with guidelines of the State Board of Accounts.

Each fund covered by this policy must be recognized by the Superintendent before monies can be collected or disbursed in the name of said fund.  Each fund shall be managed by a school administrator designated by the Superintendent and a bonded Treasurer approved by the Board.

The State of Indiana Form 9 financial report shall be filed with the Superintendent at the end of each semester and given to the Board.  Reports shall be kept on file for five (5) years.

No money shall be left overnight in the schools except a petty cash amount necessary to begin the next school day.  Daily deposits shall be made after school, however, to ensure no money is left in the building overnight.
