7434 - USE OF TOBACCO ON SCHOOL PREMISES

In order to protect students and employees who choose not to use tobacco from an environment noxious to them and potentially damaging to their health, the Board prohibits the use of tobacco on corporation property.

 

For purposes of this policy, “use of tobacco” means a cigar, cigarette, pipe, snuff, or chewing tobacco any other matter or substance that contains tobacco.

 

This policy shall not apply to the former Jones Middle School property, leased to the Grant County Economic Growth Council and subleased to ACS, during the current term of the lease, sublease, or any extensions thereof, unless agreed to by the lessee or sublessee.  Tenant or sublessee may choose to have an outdoor designated smoking area, yet smoking shall not be permitted by any person within the building.
