Superintendent's Message: Our community responded like champions in time of emergency - 4/25/14
Dear Students, Parents, and Staff of Marion Community Schools,
As many of you already know, Marion High School was evacuated today, Friday, April 25, after a bomb threat came in via our School/Student Safety Hotline. Our administrators, school resource officers and staff responded immediately after the threat was reported, and we followed our previously established safety plans and procedures.
Our precious students are why we exist, and our students’ health and well-being is our top priority. We take all threats seriously, and we will always respond with the safety of our students and staff in mind.
Now that MHS has been declared safe, as I reflect on today's events, I am grateful for all of those who played a part today, for the patience, cooperation, and teamwork that were on display.
