The next Marion Community Schools food distribution will take place on Wednesday, May 20, from 8:30 to 10 a.m., at Justice Intermediate School. We are moving the distribution to the cooler morning hours to help ensure food safety. This will be the new regular time until communicated otherwise.
Please note that distribution will NOT begin early. Lining up early is not necessary.
The traffic pattern will remain the same previous distribution.
>> Listen to a WBAT interview with MCS Safety Director Brian Sharp discussing the 3/25 food distribution (traffic pattern will be the same for the May 20 distribution)
To better serve our school community, please familiarize yourself with the following route.
The ONLY way to get in the correct distribution line is to come in heading west on Kem Road from the Bypass.
The entrance will be at Kendall Elementary. There will be signs to follow, and you must comply with directions from MCS staff and any law enforcement or emergency personnel.
For those traveling to the food distribution or traveling in the area, please be aware that during afternoon hours through evening hours, the following roads will be closed. (NOTE: Emergency officials will allow access for residents on the closed roads.)
- Miller Avenue will be closed to thru traffic between Bradford Street and Kem Road.
- Kem Road will be closed to thru traffic between Miller Avenue and Guinevere Drive.
Thank you to our community for your patience as we serve all of you within the greater Marion Community Schools family. We love our families. We miss you!
