All Allen Elementary families are invited to our Fall Family Night, 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. Oct. 28 at the school!

You can dress up in a costume if you want (though it's not required!), and you can come out and have fun with the school staff!

Second Harvest will also be here with free food to take home. Second Harvest distributions can include meat, fruits, and vegetables, refrigerated and frozen items and/or dry goods. All school families can participate. It is free of charge. 

We hope to see you there!

Marion Community Schools was informed Wednesday, Oct. 6, that a student who was last at Allen Elementary School and on a Marion Community Schools bus on Oct. 4 has been diagnosed as COVID-19 positive. In connection with this case, 7 students were identified as school related close contacts and were informed and provided with quarantine and symptom monitoring instructions.

Marion Community Schools wanted to make sure you were aware of a local walk-in clinic coming up next month for COVID-19 vaccinations and flu vaccinations:

Ivy Tech has invited Marion Community Schools staff, students, and families to take advantage of this opportunity from noon to 6 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 6, at the Ivy Tech Marion campus conference center, 261 S. Commerce Dr. (The vaccine clinic is also open to the general public.)

Marion Community Schools wanted to make sure you were aware of a local opportunity to get a COVID-19 test or a vaccine without an appointment next week.

The details have changed from what was released initially, with expanded hours and the added vaccine opportunity! The Indiana State Health Department is working in conjunction with Marion General Hospital to provide this expanded opportunity.

Due to continuing delivery challenges, we are experiencing frequent last-minute substitutions for our school breakfasts and lunches. For this reason, for the time being we will not be posting menus. 

We WILL continue to provide nutritious and balanced free breakfast and lunch every school day for all Marion Community Schools students.
