Coming up at the Walton in a few weeks: A children's literature classic comes to life!
You don't want to miss the upcoming musical A Year With Frog and Toad, a great outing for the whole family.
The show is being put on by the CSA Theatre Company, which features many Marion Community Schools students (as well as others from around the county).
This whimsical show follows two great friends — the cheerful, popular Frog and the rather grumpy Toad — through four fun-filled seasons. Waking from hibernation in the spring, Frog and Toad plant gardens, swim in the summer, rake leaves in the fall, go sledding in the winter, and learn life lessons along the way. The two best friends celebrate and rejoice in the differences that make them unique and special. Part vaudeville, part make believe, all charm!
This musical, based on Arnold Lovel's well-loved books, was a hit on Broadway and was nominated for three Tony Awards. The jazzy, upbeat music bubbles with melody and wit, making it an inventive, exuberant and enchanting musical for the whole family. Come out and enjoy this version right here in Grant County, put on by our community's very talented kids!
Shows are at 7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 3, and Saturday, Feb. 4, and at 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 5. (Box office opens one our prior to showtime. Doors open for seating 30 minutes prior to showtime.)
