These honor ensembles are a great opportunity and give students a chance to learn and grow as musicians. To be selected for these honors, students are nominated by their choir director, and nominations are then evaluated based on several criteria to select members of these talented groups from across the state. Selected musicians have been notified and were tasked with practicing the musical selections in preparation for the upcoming performances.
They spent 14 hours on Jan. 12 and 13 rehearsing with special guest clinicians, and finished the weekend with a performance at the Embassy Theatre in Fort Wayne.
Marion’s outstanding representation during this music-filled weekend is a testament to the hard work and dedication our students display every day in the classroom, and to the excellence, skill, and professionalism that our music educators bring to their work all year round. Marion Community Schools also had three students participating in instrumental clinics and concerts during the IMEA conference.
We are proud of all of these Marion Giants!
