Due to continued uncertainty and concern surrounding coronavirus / COVID-19, Marion Community Schools has decided to cancel our annual Kindness Rally that had been set for April 3.
The monetary costs associated with waiting any longer to make this decision, with deposits for rented equipment due soon, was one of the factors in our decision in making this announcement now.
McCulloch Junior High School is excited to welcome our incoming seventh-graders for the 2020-21 school year!
We understand that changing schools can be a bit overwhelming and stressful, so we invite all current sixth-graders planning to attend MJH next school year to a special event just for you. Seventh-Grade Orientation is set for 5:30 p.m. March 12. at the McCulloch gym, 3528 S. Washington St.

There are two concerts planned at the Walton Performing Arts Center at Marion High School, 750 W. 26th St., Marion. Both shows are free and open to the public.
On Monday, March 9, at 6 p.m., there will be a band concert featuring bands and ensembles from Marion High School, McCulloch Junior High School, and Justice Intermediate School.
The state has issued a plan for resumption of some non-essential activities
Gov. Eric Holcomb has put in place a 5-stage plan for "re-opening" of state government, businesses, recreational activities, entertainment venues, and places of worship. The plan also allows for an increase in the number of persons who may participate in social gatherings in each of the stages. Click here to view the "back on track" plan from the state.
Because of the school closure on Feb. 27, 2020, due to poor road conditions caused by snow and ice, a make-up day will be added to the end of the school year.
The last student day is now set for May 26, 2020. (May 25 is Memorial Day, so there will be no school that day.)
This weekend, hundreds of students from our region will gather here in Marion as part of the Indiana Music Education Association’s 31st annual Circle the State with Song festival.
Marion Community Schools is partnering with Marion Public Library, Indiana Wesleyan University, and several other community partners to bring New York Times best-selling author Kimberly Brubaker Bradley to Marion in March as part of the Giant Reading Program.
