From the Principal's Desk: It's finally fall!

Publish Date: 10/03/2022

A message from Principal Rumple:

Fall is in full swing, bringing with it the end of the first grading period, Homecoming, fall break, and fun holidays. We have a great week of homecoming fun planned for the first week of October, complete with dress up days and learning opportunities for the history of traditions and all things Marion Giants.

The first week of October also ends our first grading period and contains our final planned e-learning day (Oct. 7). I encourage you to speak with your student regarding their grades and any final assignments for the quarter.

If you find your student is still in need of extra help, our tutoring program has started and runs every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 3:50 to 4:50 p.m. until April 13, 2023. Please contact the office if you are interested in signing your student up for tutoring. (Transportation is available).

Fall break is Oct. 17-21, and we hope everyone is able to take advantage of the break to rest and recharge as we head into the final stretch of the first semester.

We will continue to go outside for recess as long as the weather cooperates. Students may want to make sure they have a jacket or sweatshirt in their locker for the days they go out for recess.

The end of the month and the start of the following will bring our Title I literacy week celebration, complete with our book fair, family night, and more dress up fun. We look forward to continuing to bring fun to the learning environment, and we appreciate your support.

This is our time to have our ZEST year as Giants, and we continue to dedicate our time and energy to this task. If you ever have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out.
