February is the month of love and the month to celebrate Black History. One thing we love at Justice is the rich history in our name. In 1967, Thurgood Marshall became the first African American Justice on the Supreme Court. It is an honor to be named after him. We are proud to be Justice Thurgood Marshall Intermediate School.
The second semester is in full swing, and we have had some new faces join us.
Mr. Thomas Cheney is a new teacher in our Life Skills classroom, and his students are off to a great start. They are bringing back the Justice Java cart (for teachers/staff), and they even started doing some coding in the classroom.
Mr. David Bannach joins our 6th grade ELA staff. Mr. Bannach states: "I have really appreciated the incredible welcome and support that I've experienced so far at Justice. It's been refreshing!"
We are happy to have these gentlemen join our Justice family.
On Feb. 16 we will host an i-Ready Reports for Families presentation in our cafeteria at 6 p.m. Our goal is to give a quick overview of how to read the reports and be available to answer any questions families regarding i-Ready testing, practices, and reporting. We will also discuss Title I resources available for our Justice families to help students with learning.
This is our time to have our ZEST year as Giants, and we continue to dedicate our time and energy to this task. If you ever have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out.
