In the midst of Black History Month, we're taking a moment to put the spotlight on some of our Marion High School alumni who have earned a spot in the MHS Hall of Distinction. Induction into the Marion High School Hall of Distinction is one of the highest honors Marion Community Schools gives.
The Marion Giants girls basketball program invites all Marion 3rd and 4th grade girls to a skills camp! Sessions will be held on several Sundays throughout March and April.

Marion Community Schools was informed Friday, Jan. 8, that a student who was last at Marion High School on Wednesday, Jan. 6, has been diagnosed as COVID-19 positive. In connection with this case, 10 students were identified as school related close contacts and have been informed and instructed to quarantine. On Nov. 24, the Marion Community Schools Board of School Trustees approved the continuation of e-learning Fridays through the rest of the 2020-21 school year calendar, in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The board had previously approved e-learning Fridays for the first semester.
Marion Community Schools is adding two e-learning days to its calendar as we shift into the winter and holiday season. There will be no onsite classes on Monday, Nov. 23, and Tuesday, Nov. 24. (Thanksgiving break begins Wednesday, Nov. 25.)
Marion Community Schools was informed Tuesday, Nov. 17, that a staffer who was last at McCulloch Junior High School on Monday, Nov. 16, has been diagnosed as COVID-19 positive.
In connection with this positive case, 5 students were determined to be school related close contacts and have been informed and instructed to quarantine. (Click here for current COVID-19 quarantine information.)
