Tonight, the Marion Community Schools Board of School Trustees approved our baseline plans for onsite and online learning for the 2020-21 school year. Please check out our Frequently Asked Questions page, which has links to the individual plans for onsite and online learning, which contain much more detail.
Five teachers have earned special recognition as this year’s nominees and recipients of the Mary Clark Hanley Teaching Excellence Award.
The nominees are an exclusive group that personifies excellence. They were selected by their respective principals or coordinators. The 2019-20 nominees are:

All Kendall Elementary School students grades P-4 will be able to pick up their personal belongings left at school during the following times:
Students will not be permitted to enter the building and must be accompanied by an adult; a bag with the contents from their classroom will be brought to them curbside at Door 17.
Five Marion elementary school students earned high honors in the annual Symphony in Color statewide art competition.
All five students earned finalist honors at the state level. Typically, this artwork would be on display at the Indiana State Museum, but because the museum is closed during this unusual time, as part of efforts to slow the spread of COVID-19, their art is on display in a virtual gallery: www.indianamuseum.org/symphony-in-color.

Marion Community Schools has provided more than a quarter million meals (nearly 275,000) to our community through our drive-through food distributions in the months of March and April.
We plan to continue these distributions to meet our community's needs.
