McCulloch Junior High School invites all MJH families to the Winter Wonderland Family Literacy Night set for 5:30 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 3.
Please join us for a chicken and noodles dinner, family fun and learning, and prizes including college and Marion Community Schools spirit wear, books, and two $100 Walmart gift cards!
This event is in conjunction with the AEP Credits Count program, a partnership with Ivy Tech Community College.
This holiday season, as carols tell of a special star that shone long ago, Marion High School’s state-of-the-art planetarium will put on a special show that explores the wonders of the night sky.
The public is invited to MHS for “Seasonal Stargazing: Winter and Season of Lights”. Showings will be as follows:
McCulloch Junior High School eighth-grade tuba player Daniel Terhune was selected to perform in the Indiana Bandmasters Association West All-Region Honor Band earlier this month.
Students are recommended by their band director and submit applications to be considered for the Honor Band. Applications from students across the state were evaluated to select members of this talented group.
The holiday season is still a few weeks away, but we want to give all McCulloch Junior High families the best chance to arrange their schedules so that you can attend our special holiday programs - so we're sharing the schedule now!

On Nov. 19, educators from throughout the state of Indiana will be attending Red for Public Ed Action Day, a rally at the Indiana Statehouse. This rally is meant to communicate to our legislators the serious need for more financial and other support for public education and the children we serve. Public education has an important mission, which is to serve all the children of all the people. Our state is not adequately supporting this mission.
Marion Community Schools is proud to announce that choir students from three of our schools have earned spots in the Indiana Music Education Association’s All-State Honor Choirs.
The McCulloch Junior High School students selected were Nathaniel Aguila, Caleb Huff, Emily Luckey, Chloe Phillips, and Caroline Russell; from Justice Intermediate School, Aubry Roedl was selected; and from Riverview Elementary School, Joseph Hancock and Hannah Huff were selected.
Marion Community Schools Board of School Trustees invites letters of interest from individuals to serve on the Marion Public Library Board of Trustees. The appointment is from Jan. 1, 2020, to Dec. 31, 2023.
