McCulloch Junior High School honor choir students had a special opportunity to sing at the Indiana Statehouse on Thursday, in celebration of the third annual Indiana Arts Education Day.

Due to the cancellation of classes on January 30 and 31 because of dangerous wind chill temperatures, the last day for students will now be on Tuesday, May 28. Please make a note on your calendars!
(Monday, May 27, is Memorial Day, so there will be no classes that day.)
Join us for this special event from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 23, in the McCulloch Junior High School cafeteria. (Enter Door 19.)
There will be a FREE dinner, along with performances by the jazz band and choir, and an informational session.
Topics discussed will be NWEA testing and scores, ILEARN testing, PowerSchool, Upward Bound, 21st Century Scholars, and parent involvement opportunities.
IMEA gives this award each year to one educator at the elementary, middle school / junior high, high school, and college levels. The award signifies these educators have exemplified outstanding achievement in the field of music education, IMEA said.
And because we know our school holiday programs can take some logistical work for parents and families to attend, we've set the schedule now, so you can make plans early!
- 7th grade choir: 6 p.m. Monday, Dec. 10
- 8th grade choir: 6 p.m.Tuesday, Dec. 11
- 7th/8th grade band: 6 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 12
