Homecoming Week: Get in the Giants spirit!

MHS Homecoming Week is here! Get ready to show off your school spirit, your Giant Pride! 

There are also many events open to the community. (Those are denoted with *.)

Here's a look at the activities planned at Marion High School and in the community:

Monday, Oct. 3

  • Dress-up theme: PJ Day

Tuesday, Oct. 4

  • Dress-up theme: Twin Day

Wednesday, Oct. 5

  • Dress-up theme: Disney Day

Thursday, Oct. 6

  • Dress-up theme: Class Color Day (freshman, orange; sophomores, pink; juniors, blue; seniors, black)
  • Pep rally: 7th period at Dick Lootens Stadium
  • Powder Puff football game: 7 p.m. at Dick Lootens Stadium

Friday, Oct. 7

  • E-learning day: No onsite classes for students
  • MHS Night of Giants alumni honors ceremony: 4:30 p.m. at Walton Performing Arts Center; free entry. Click here for more details.
  • * Marion High School Alumni Association tailgate: Food trucks, music, friends! Before the start of the football game in the stadium lot.
  • * Homecoming football game: Giants host Lafayette Jefferson, 7:30 p.m. at Dick Lootens Stadium. MHS students get in free with student ID. For all others, single game tickets are $6 (preschoolers get in free). 
  • Homecoming Dance: Tickets for $5 on sale in the cafeteria through Oct. 4. No guests from other schools. The dance is casual or semi-formal — you choose your fit! Dance starts after the game and runs until 11:30 p.m.
