Marion Community Schools' All-City Art Show is coming to Marion High School's Walton Performing Arts Center once again!

All MCS buildings will be showing student artwork, and MCS choral and band programs will provide music from all ages. Come see outstanding artwork created by our own Marion Giants. You can also join in some hands-on activities!

ILEARN is the annual test the state of Indiana requires students take starting in grade three. (It replaces the ISTEP.)

Tests are given in grades three through eight, and also for high school courses Biology and U.S. Government. For information about when your student will be testing, contact your school building office.

Marion Community Schools is aware of reports of an incident in the area of Madison-Grant High School this morning. Students and staff at all MCS school buildings were kept inside their buildings for a short time, out of an abundance of caution. Based on communications with local law enforcement, as of about 10:15 a.m., MCS released all school buildings to resume regular activities.

Marion High School will be offering free athletic physicals to any Marion Community Schools student in April 2019, for students who plant to play school sports next fall.

Marion Community Schools’ human resources director was recently honored by the Indiana Association of School Business Officials.

Human Resources Director Shelley Preston has been named the IASBO School Support Professional of the Year for Region 5, the district in which Grant County lies.

The Giants are headed back to semi-state! Let's show off our Giant Pride on Friday!

For the third time this school year, a Marion High School team is headed to semi-state in the IHSAA's state tournaments. (The football team and girls basketball team were the first and second.)

Marion Community Schools encourages businesses and organizations around the city to join us as we celebrate Purple & Gold Friday, in honor of the Giants.

Marion Community Schools’ very own Riverview Elementary School has earned a spot in the “Fantastic 4” of the WISH-TV “I Love to Read” challenge. Stacy James’ 21 third-grade students have achieved this position by reading on average an hour and a half each day as a class and continuing their reading at home independently.
