In-person graduation on hold due to governor's order

Publish Date: 07/01/2020

Plans for an in-person graduation ceremony for the Marion High School Class of 2020 have been put on hold. Indiana Gov. Eric Holcomb announced today that he was leaving the cap on gathering sizes at 250 through at least July 17. (It was to have lifted on July 3.)

Gov. Holcomb's Executive Order 20-35 kept in place most of the requirements of Executive Order 20-32, including the crowd size limit for events.

At this point we feel we cannot make an alternate plan without further guidance. We will await further updates from the governor's office and we will continue to follow guidance of from local, state, and national health officials.

Marion High School is so proud of the Class of 2020 and all of their accomplishments. We look forward to a time when we can celebrate them in person together!
