Important information for staff regarding the new support ticketing system -
As previously shared with staff via email on 2-17-23:
Good afternoon!
We are writing to inform you about an important change that will be taking place with regard to our IT support platform. We will be transitioning from our current IT support platform (Solarwinds) to a new and improved system that will provide a more efficient and effective service to our staff. The new system will be available for use beginning this weekend and will be accessible by visiting: https://support.marion.k12.in.
Previously, we employed an almost exclusively email-only system where users submitted support cases to support@marion.k12.in.us. The new system links together assigned hardware device inventory, parts utilization, and information about previous support cases which should allow us to offer improved response times, enhanced communication tools, and streamlined processes to ensure a more robust support experience.
We understand the importance of IT support in your work and that change can be challenging, but we're confident that this transition will bring a host of benefits for you as an end user. MCS IT is committed to providing you with the best service possible and believes that this transition to a new IT support platform is a crucial step in achieving this goal.
Thank you for your cooperation and understanding during this transition period. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us. Going forward, email requests sent to support@marion.k12.in.us will be auto-replied to directing you to the new online portal.
Once again, the new support portal will be accessible by visiting: https://support.marion.k12.in.
The following is a great video that will help you to better understand the new support ticketing system (Incident IQ): (CLICK HERE FOR VIDEO LINK)
Wishing you a great afternoon and a fabulous weekend.
Kind regards,
- MCS IT Support Team
