Substitute Teaching Jobs

We're looking for great substitutes!

Marion Community Schools has partnered with ESS to manage our substitute program. A leader in K-12 staffing, ESS is responsible for the hiring, training, and placement of all substitute teachers and substitute educational assistants.

Substitutes are paid per day, on a weekly basis. In addition, health benefits and 401(k) are available through ESS.

Pay rates are:

• certified teacher, $100 per day
• bachelor's degree, $90 per day
• high school degree or anything less than a bachelor's degree, $80 per day 

A high school diploma and a substitute certificate issued by the state of Indiana are required. (More information is available on the ESS site about this certificate!) An expanded criminal history check is also required.
