Marion Community Schools is pleased to announce the 2025 inductees for the Marion High School Hall of Distinction, along with the MHS Athletics Hall of Fame and the MHS Arts Hall of Fame.
All of these inductees will be honored during Homecoming Weekend, on Oct. 3. More details will be provided about our Night of Giants Alumni Awards ceremony closer to that time.

MHS Hall of Distinction
This year’s inductees are:
- Dewayne Andrew, Class of 1964, longtime teacher at Marion Community Schools, including 32 years as a science teacher at Marion High School, leading hundreds and hundreds of students to discover and appreciate the natural world both in his classroom and on field trips near and far; named NCC Coach of the Year for wrestling, and was assistant coach for two state-finalist football teams. (Inducted posthumously.)
- Jamie Douglas Bragg, Class of 1977, widely renowned dance teacher and award-winning choreographer, local studio owner for several decades, launching many students into successful professional dance careers and providing her hometown with high-caliber dance productions that invigorated the regional arts scene.
- Bobby Browder, Class of 1993, financial advisor and certified financial planner at Edward Jones, named Forbes Best-In-State Wealth Advisor several years in a row, super supporter of many school and community programs.
- Ming Mei, Class of 1993, co-founder and CEO of GLP, a leading provider of global logistics solutions and one of the world’s largest real estate fund managers.
- Clarissa Nowlin, Class of 1983, Senior Vice President and Controller at Professional Management Enterprises Inc., an award-winning professional staffing and management company headquartered in Indianapolis, with more than 30 years of finance and accounting expertise.
- Ida "Lois" Williams, Class of 1983, retired Commander with 35 years of service in the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, former head of IMPD’s Community Engagement and Outreach Bureau, now serving as Director of Safety and Security for Indianapolis Public Schools.
The MHS Hall of Distinction gives lasting recognition to alumni who have made exceptional contributions to the achievements and prestige of Marion Community Schools. It also serves to help inspire current students to aspire to similar success.
Any MHS alumnus who graduated at least five years ago and who has made substantial contributions to the achievements of Marion Community Schools or whose exemplary actions reflect honor on MCS is eligible for nomination. The Hall seeks to honor men and women who have distinguished themselves through superb accomplishment on a local, state or national level in diverse fields of endeavor. Non-MHS graduates may be afforded honorary status in the MHS Hall of Distinction.
MHS Arts Hall of Fame
This year's inductee is:
- Ki’Leigh Williams, Class of 2009, powerhouse performer, educator, and creative force who has been making waves in the dance world since the age of 10, when she performed with the off-Broadway sensation Tap Kids, to now, as a member of the ground-breaking tap group Syncopated Ladies, cast member of movies including “Spirited”, founder and creative director of all-female dance collective The GentleLadies, and more.
MHS Athletics Hall of Fame
This year’s inductees are:
- Anthony Bruns, Class of 1997: In cross country, 13th-best all-time, also competed in track. Now one of the top runners in the world, finishing 2nd in Boston Marathon for runners over 40, and 59th overall, beating 80 other pro runners; holds records in Colorado and California as well.
- RaShaya Kyle, Class of 2020: In basketball, all-time leading scorer for girls basketball at Marion High School, helped lead her team to semi-state; Indiana All-Star; All-NCC multiple years; went on to play Division 1 basketball at Purdue University, University of Florida, and University of Miami. In volleyball: All-NCC
- Coach Jeff Mooney, Class of 1968: Only head coach to reach the state finals in two different sports (girls golf state finals twice, and girls basketball state finals once). He coached multiple legendary Giants athletes.
- Darryn Scott, Class of 2010: In wrestling, All-State; record-holder for all-time wins at 146 weight class; 3rd in state in 2009, 6th in state in 2010; sectional champ (individual) in 2008, along with sectional and NCC titles for the team that year; MVP in 2007 and 2008, voted Most Athletic in his senior year. In football, All-NCC. Also competed in track and field.
- Jazmyn Turner, Class of 2019: In basketball, 4th all-time scorer for girls basketball at MHS, helped lead her team to semi-state; All-NCC; went on to play at Ball State University and Indiana University-Purdue University-Indianapolis (IUPUI). In soccer: All-NCC. Also competed in track.
- Linda Marie Williams-Boyd, Class of 1981: In basketball, played on 1980 and 1981 state finalist teams; tied for 7th all-time IHSAA rebounding leaders in a state game; went on to play basketball at Indiana Wesleyan University, where her team won championship in 1982, and she was 6th all-time leading scorer. In track, part of 4 x 200 relay that finished 6th in the state, and set record for long jump in her freshman year; went on to compete at IWU, where she was part of national champion 400-meter relay and 1600-meter relay. In volleyball, her teams earned runner-up titles twice, and she went on to play at IWU. Also an IWU Athletic Hall of Fame honoree.
