On Wednesday, March 11, Marion High School 11th-grade students will take the SAT at the school. All other students will be utilize synchronous e-learning that day. Only the students who are testing will be in the building.
This testing date was rescheduled due to statewide technical difficulties with the testing system on the originally scheduled date (March 3).
There are a few juniors who will test on a different day:
- Online students will test on Friday, March 6, in the library starting at 8:45 a.m.
- Juniors who will be on an art field trip on March 11 will also test on March 6.
- HYPE Academy students will test on Tuesday, March 10. More information will be provided to these students and families directly.
The schedule for those e-learning on March 11 will be as follows:
- Period 1: 1 to 1:15 p.m.
- Period 2: 1:20 to 1:35 p.m.
- Period 3: 1:40 to 1:55 p.m.
- Period 4: 2 to 2:15 p.m.
- Period 5: 2:20 to 2:35 p.m.
- Period 6: 2:40 to 2:55 p.m.
- Period 7: 3 to 3:15 p.m.

Juniors:
NOTE: The SAT is required by the state of Indiana, and juniors must take the SAT to be eligible to purchase MHS prom tickets.
SAT will be administered beginning at 8:45 a.m. and ending at at approximately noon, followed by lunch (optional) from noon to 12:30 p.m. Any junior who normally arrives later than 8:45 a.m. or leaves earlier than noon must make plans to be here for this full time period on testing day.
Please bring your charged iPad and charger.
Please bring a calculator if you want to use your own on the SAT. (It cannot be an internet-connected device.) Otherwise, a calculator is built into the digital test.
Cell phones and smart watches are not permitted at any time during the testing or break time. Your test will be invalidated if you are caught with any electronic device, other than your testing device. We will collect phones and smart watches prior to the test.
Juniors may be excused after the test or after lunch if they have transportation home. Any junior who needs to ride the bus home on March 11 will stay at the school until normal dismissal time, with a study hall available. Any junior leaving at a different time must follow normal call-out / sign-out procedures.
